EUROPEAN BEST ENGINEERING COMPETITION
EBEC stands for “European BEST Engineering Competition” and is the engineering competition of BEST. The aim of this competition is to give students the opportunity to apply both their theoretical knowledge and their practical skills. The students compete in groups of four in the local round. The winners must compete in the regional round and finally in the European final.
TWO CATEGORIES
Case Study
Show your problem-solving and presentation skills by developing a solution to a specific task with analytical and economical knowledge. This more abstract competition consists of solving a theoretical, technical or managerial problem occurring in real life or industry.
Innovative Design
Show your crafty skills by creating prototypes or a concept for a real-life problem. Present us your plan on how the product could look in real life.
TWO ROUNDS
Local Round
Take part in the Local Round of EBEC at the FAU in Erlangen.
National/Regional Round
The winners of each category advance to the next round to compete against winners of other Local Rounds. We are partnering up with the region BeNeLux for this years edition!
OUR LOCAL ROUND
EBEC Erlangen is held annually in our lovely university city Erlangen. It is the local round of our beloved international engineering competition.
